- Finish in three years through classroom training and a 10-month certified internship.
- Upon graduation, apply for licensure as a Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP).
- Fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
ACU’s Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) program empowers you to help children and adolescents succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Through both classroom instruction and an internship experience, you can more ably assess difficulties, develop plans to overcome them, and consult with parents, teachers, and administrators to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments. In addition to state licensure, you can pursue national certification through the National School Psychology Certification board.
